Government of Nepal - Electronic Visa Fee Payment

In collaboration with FCGO & NCHL, the Department of Immigration enables tourists to pay visa fees online before arrival. Payments are auto-updated in GoN's Central Revenue Management System (RMIS).

Services covered: Visa on Arrival (VOA) • Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) • Other immigration payments.

Step-by-Step Guide

Access Official Immigration Portal

Visit https://immigration.gov.np
Click Online Visa Application
You will be redirected to nepaliport.immigration.gov.np (or nepaliport-new)

Select Visa Type

Visa on Arrival (VOA) - apply & pay before arrival
ETA - pre-approved, verification may take longer

Choose your entry point (Tribhuvan International Airport) and continue.

Fill Application Form

Personal Information

Full name (as in passport)
Passport number
Date of birth / Nationality
Email & mobile number

Travel Information

Visa duration (15/30/90 days)
Purpose of visit, address in Nepal
Arrival date, passport expiry

Ensure all information matches your passport exactly - errors may cause rejection.

Review, Submit & Save Application

Verify all details, then click Submit. You will receive a Tourist Visa Application Form with:

Submission ID (e.g. VXXXXX or ZXXXXX)
RMIS Voucher Number: 2082-xxxxxxxx

Download & save the form immediately - you must show it at the immigration desk.

Choose Card Payment (connectIPS Gateway)

Click Card Payment - you will be redirected to the NCHL connectIPS secure gateway.

Already filled the form? Go to nepaliport-new.immigration.gov.np/card-payment, enter your Submission ID + CAPTCHA, then click Card Payment.

Enter Card Details & Convenience Fee

Card Details

Expiry date / CVV
Email address (receipt sent here)

Convenience Fee: 3.5% of transaction or NPR equivalent of 1 USD - whichever is higher.

Click Continue to proceed.

Payment Authorization (3D Secure / OTP)

Your bank may request verification via:

OTP via SMS
Mobile banking approval
3D Secure password

Complete authentication to proceed - do not refresh the page during redirection.

Payment Confirmation (non-refundable)

A "Successful Payment" message will appear and you will be redirected back to the Immigration system.

Important:

Payment to the Government of Nepal is non-refundable.
Do not pay twice for the same Submission ID.
If the page crashes, do not close - wait and verify payment status before retrying.

Check Payment Status & Download Receipt

Visit: https://nepaliport-new.immigration.gov.np/card-payment

Enter Submission ID + CAPTCHA
Click Check Payment

You will see the Successful Payment Receipt (print/download). A Revenue Voucher Code will also be sent to your email.

Carry the printed receipt + visa application form to the Immigration Desk - no need to fill forms on arrival.

Critical Reminders

Never pay multiple times for the same service

Do not submit multiple applications for the same passport

All payments are non-refundable

Present your visa application form + payment receipt

No need to fill a paper form after arrival

Visa sticker is issued only at the immigration desk

Security Guidelines

Never share OTP or CVV Use only .gov.np domains Avoid third-party visa websites

Do not make visa payments through any third-party websites, mobile applications, or unauthorized agents. Use only the official Department of Immigration website and approved payment methods. The Department is not liable for losses arising from payments made through unofficial channels.
